We are continuing to look for the main idea and supporting details in a text. Students are working on going back through their text and locating important information. We will also be comparing scientific ideas.
We will be focusing on informational text and paying close attention to details in the text to help us understand it and describe scientific relationships.
Students will be focused on Key Details in a text. This will help us understand Point of View, Theme, Comparing Characters.
Students will continue working on Theme based on the character's thoughts and actions. We will pay close attention to the details of the story and discuss the different lessons we can learn and apply to our own lives.
Students will be working on identifying key details that help them determine the theme of a text. We will be looking closely at the characters' points of view and actions.
We will be reading one of my favorite stories, Knots on a Counting Rope. This story will give us a wonderful opportunity to focus on figurative and non literal language, as well as theme and character point of view.
Students will be working on word meaning within the text and comparing and contrasting. We will have our Unit 2 assessment on Thursday the 21st.
Students will be working on Author's Point of View, Text Features, Comparing and Contrasting, and Central Message.
We will be focusing on Main Idea and Details as well as Asking and Answering Questions about the text we read.
