Students will continue reading information texts in class. We will continue to focus on using our text features to help us locate important details that tell us the main idea. We will also be working on our End Of Year Assessment and our Unit 4 Assessment.

We will be using Informational Text and it's text features to better understand the series of Historical Events.
We will working on using informational texts to identify main idea, text evidence for support, and look at the sequence of historical events.
We are also working on taking information and evidence from different articles to write about our understanding. We will be looking at the details in Brave Girl, Back of the Bus, and Below Deck: A Titanic Story that relate these stories to one another. We will also be identifying the Central Message.
We will be starting our new book, Below Deck: A Titanic Story. We will use this text as we work on central message and how characters' actions shape the story.
ELA FSA will be taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be focusing on using cold read passages and working on our reading comprehension. After Tuesday and Wednesday, we will continue with Unit 4 Module A and compare and contrast Back of the Bus and Brave Girl. Students will be looking at the two historical events and compare them as well as comparing the characters.
Students will be looking at main idea and details as well as point of view and perspective of characters and authors.
Students will begin reading Back of the Bus this week and we will discuss how characters affect the plot as well as discussing historical events and connecting words to real life experiences.
We will be finishing up our Unit 3 this week. Students will work on Main Idea and Details and our assessment will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
We are looking at Illustrations, Pictures, and Text Features to better our understanding of what we are reading. We will also be comparing scientific relationships.
